The increasing availability of scanner, web-scraped, and administrative data has opened new opportunities for improving the quality, timeliness, and coverage of consumer price statistics. This workshop aims to strengthen the technical and methodological capacities of NSOs in using alternative data sources, with a particular focus on scanner data. Through expert-led presentations, practical exercises, and peer-learning sessions, participants will gain hands-on exposure to internationally recognized methodologies and tools developed by the UN Task Team on Scanner Data.
By participating, attendees will develop a deeper understanding of how alternative data sources can support CPI compilation, become familiar with key methodological guidance and tools, learn from experiences across the region, and identify practical next steps for implementing or expanding scanner data initiatives within their organizations.
We invite interested professionals to complete the registration form and join this collaborative learning opportunity with international experts and regional peers.
